Holding on to memories...

Writer: Lisa SayersLisa Sayers

I am so grateful that I took so many photos through the years. It helps to look through them. I'm also grateful for the things like the essay I have posted below. Sam was a wonderful writer. We were always going to write a book together. That day will never come. So I cherish these words that she put to paper. I can hear her voice as I read it over and over. I'm thankfor for anything that she gave me or created with her hands and heart. It will never fill the void, but it's something to hold onto.

If you are one who doesn't like to take photos or have your photo taken, maybe I can urge you to change your mind. You don't have to look "perfect." There is no such thing. One day those that love you may be searching for memories or ways to connect to you again, so let them have that.

I hope you enjoy Sam's words. Every bit is true. Christmas isn't about the stuff...it's about the feelings, the memories and the love that you share with those who are important to you.
