Lisa A. (Yax) Sayers, 61, of Girard, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on May 13, 1964, in Algonac, Michigan, a daughter of the late Wayne and Cathrine (Kenny) Yax.
Lisa graduated from Algonac High School in 1982, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Northern Michigan University in 1986. She later moved to Girard, where she met the love of her life, Ron Sayers, on a blind date at the Best Western where they danced together all night.
Lisa worked as an independent consultant with Arbonne for twenty-two years and also shared her passion for wellness as a Zumba instructor in the Girard area.
She was known for her incredible ability to do just about anything including: decorating the house, tackling DIY projects, painting, clean cooking (always from scratch), keeping her home in order and gardening. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dog, Angus. Above all, Lisa was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. She was a true inspiration for people all around the world for her strength, determination, and unwavering commitment to her family. Even while fighting her own battle with cancer for seventeen years, she never gave up hope or stopped fighting for her children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Lester D. Sayers.
Lisa is survived by her loving family, including her husband of thirty years, Ron Sayers; her daughter, Samantha Sayers, who went missing in 2018; her sons, Ryan and Ian Sayers (Cait); her sister, Leah Wall (Tom); her cherished grandchildren, Camden, Carter, and Lexi Sayers; her Aunt Willy Kenny; and her in-laws, Marion Sayers, Lester W. Sayers, David Sayers (Janice), and Vickie Yovich.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lisa’s name to The ANNA Shelter, 1555 E 10th St, Erie, PA 16511, or Because You Care, Inc., 6041 W Rd, McKean, PA 16426.
A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
