Sam loved an adventure. Even as a child, she loved to travel and try different things. After moving to Seattle in her van, who we named Waldo, she decided to take a two week road trip, ALONE. She wasn't supposed to be going alone, but she refused to let that stop the dream she had. Needless to say her Dad and I were worried, but she promised she would check in with us frequently. She did tell me she wished she had someone to go with her, but she also didn't want to let it stop her from something she really wanted to do. She wanted to see the national parks. She bought a gym membership so she would be able to stop and shower when near those places. She stayed in the various campgrounds and she got to see what we have never seen. She loved every minute of it. Even though we worried, we were so proud of her confidence and ability to just enjoy life for those two weeks. I admired her for her strength and determination. She got to be herself and just love life, be a part of nature and enjoy peace! She told us that it was some of the most beautiful sights she had ever seen and we got to see it through her eyes. Today I share those images with all of you and I hope you see it through her eyes...wide open and full of joy. And I hope you learn something from Samantha...don't wait! If there is something you really want to do in life, do it! Don't let fear keep you from your dreams because we just don't know what tomorrow will bring.
I miss you baby girl more than you can fathom...
